Welcome to our party!

Welcome to the Wonderful Wednesday Blog Hop

The first week of May has just arrived and signs of spring are all over the place. A "robin couple" has already built a nest right outside of my patio door. The grass is green and growing. And the sun stays up later and later into the night. What a lovely time of year.
We are so glad that you stopped by to party with us. Our features represent the most popular posts from the week before. Let's see the ones you visited most last week ...

This Is: A Day in the Life April 2019

Sunday, April 28, 2019

I love capturing a random day in our life, I can't wait to look back on posts just like this one to remember how we spent our days in this CRAZY season of life with three amazing little ladies under the age of FIVE! Here's a peek into a "normal" Wednesday in our home:

6:00 am: Isla has been our little alarm clock lately, waking us up as early as 5:30, just smiling, happy and ready to start her day! (Thank goodness for coffee).

Tip: I fill-up our diffuser at night, that way in the morning I can turn it on right away and start our day out with a little extra oil magic!

7:00: Time for Breakfast! On this particular day my little ladies all had a similar breakfast: Trader Joe's pancake bread, strawberries and organic vanilla greek yogurt. Scott and I typically have eggs with salsa, peanut butter toast or oatmeal!

8:00: Bellies fed, Mama's quick 5 minute make-up routine, bed's made, little ladies outfits selected, time to get everyone dressed, hair brushed, teeth brushed and out the door to preschool, this hour always feels like a sprint!

9:00/10:00: The big girls are at preschool and little Isla and I were able to run a quick errand before she took a little cat nap in the car.

11:00: Emerson gets out of preschool before Avery, so we killed some time at one of our favorite parks! It's so fun to see all the things Isla and Emerson are able to do at the park this year that they weren't able to do last year. One thing that really surprises us is that Isla HATES the swing, that's a first for us!

12:00: Avery's all done at preschool and it's time for lunch! My girls LOVE ground turkey tacos, we eat them at least once a week, I always try to throw in a veggie and dairy, along with their vitamin gummies as their "treat!" On this day, Avery decided she wanted cauliflower mac n' cheese instead!

1:00/2:00: Our BIG girl is headed to Kindergarten next year and I got to spend some special time with her, first we headed to her Kindergarten screening, followed by a treat at Starbucks and a few errands! She is seriously the BEST errand buddy, whenever she's not with me I miss having her along, five is just such a fun age!

4:00: If you're a stay at home Mom... you know how crazy that last hour before Daddy walks in the door can be! We typically turn up some music and dance our way through the 4:00 hour, thankfully the weather is warming up and we can head outside and play until he gets home!

5:00: A quick dinner for all of us and I was off to take Avery to her soccer pictures! She is LOVING soccer, it's so fun to watch her experience a new activity.

6:00: After bath the girls like to cuddle up on a couch for a little "wind-down," we usually watch a quick episode of Beat Bugs before heading up for bed!

7:00: Our little ladies are typically in bed between 7:30-8:00, we brush teeth, read a few books, pray and give goodnight kisses! Or if you're Emmy, mix in 100 different stalling tactics before that final kiss goodnight ;)

9:00: FINALLY time to sit down and relax, Scott and I are turning into such an old married couple, we like to make a cup of tea and catch-up on some of our shows. We are desperate for a new show, hence here we are watching Gold Rush again...

10:00: Finally time for lights OUT- side note: this is the BEST diffuser, it diffuses ALL night, we love it!

Thanks for following along with our day, I'm pretty proud of myself for remembering to snap a photo each hour, today was a good day to capture! I love this little family of ours, simple days like today just FILL me up, I love them SO much.

Friday Favorites: April 26th

Friday, April 26, 2019

We had a crazy busy, yet fun week over here and we are celebrating that Friday has finally arrived! Our week was a busy one, Kindergarten screening, Open House and soccer pictures for Miss Avery, a new big girl bed for Emerson and endless amounts of #snacks for little Miss Isla ;) We have spent a ton of time outside and sadly, can't believe that there is SNOW in the forecast for this weekend.

We have a somewhat quiet weekend ahead, a few soccer games for Avery, as well as dance pictures for the big girls, which I can't WAIT to see them in their costumes! Hopefully we will get another few things checked-off of our weekend to-do list, while mixing in a lot of relaxing and family time. Enjoy the weekend ahead friends!

Let's Celebrate: Easter 2019

Wednesday, April 24, 2019

Happy belated Easter friends! We had such a wonderful Easter that I couldn't miss a chance to recap such a great day. Today I'm sharing ten of my favorites photos from Easter, along with a few details about how we spent our holiday.

(1): The little ladies were up bright and early, ready to find their baskets! Emmy and Isla were the first to wake at 6:00 (thankful for coffee), which meant we had to wake up Avery. At our house, the Easter bunny hides eggs all around the house, as well as the girls baskets too.

We are hosting brunch on Sunday and are looking forward to spending lots of time together as a family! I'm sharing all sorts of fun favorites this week, including some adorable "throw back" Easter photos of our family throughout the years, just wait until you see little baby Avery, wishing you and your family a very Happy Easter!

Let's Celebrate: Dying Easter Eggs with Toddlers

Wednesday, April 17, 2019

Mama's when it comes to festive fun, my number one tip is make life easy on yourself! Dying Easter eggs is plenty, you don't need to take it ten steps further by crushing up your own all natural ingredients, or buying a ten step kit to create marbled eggs with a glitter finish, just buy the traditional (cheapest) egg dying kit you can find and SIMPLIFY!

My daughters are currently ages 5, 3 and 1, which means any activity can at times feel pretty hectic, but if I take the steps to make the process simple, I know I'm going to actually make a memory worth remembering. Take a look at the five easy steps we took to dye our Easter eggs this year! My girls had so much fun, I didn't lose any hair and we all love admiring our rainbow colored eggs because when we look at them we remember laughing and having fun! We remember Emmy dipping her hand in the green dye for so long, her little hand looked like baby hulk, or we look at Avery's two layer green/pink "watermelon" egg and compliment how creative she is. Don't make life too hard on yourselves Mama, make your festive memories simple, I promise you, it's worth it.

Snyder Family Co. Home: Kitchen

Tuesday, April 16, 2019

Welcome to another room in our home, the heart of the home... our kitchen! It doesn't matter that the kitchen is the smallest room in our house, during a party, everyone ends up in this little space. While it may be a small space, it's a mighty space, we spend a lot of our time in here, cooking up breakfast, lunch, dinner and countless snacks! While I have always dreamed of having a kitchen with a big old island, our kitchen serves our family well and I am very thankful for all the memories made in this space.

With that being said, it's finally time to add a little extra character to the kitchen and we can't wait! First things first, those horrible light fixtures HAVE to go! While they resemble a part of the female anatomy... ahem, they also give a horrible, yellow toned light and we can't wait to add a ton of canned lighting to brighten up this space.

Wish List: We would love to eventually swap out our appliances for stainless steel AND the biggest fridge humanly possible for that little space.

Wish List: See that BLACK rope detail on the top of our cabinets... yea, I would REALLY love to figure out a way to remove that... like yesterday.

Wish List: We are SUPER saving to re-do our entire first floor floors, new hardwood floors throughout the first level is something we are really looking forward to replacing!

Next-up, we're adding some floating shelves to replace the cabinet to the right of the window. I'm hoping the exposed shelves will let a lot more of the natural light to filter in from the window and I'm super excited to style the shelves too. In addition to the shelves, we are also adding a backsplash. We are still trying to decide what style of backsplash to add, as well as, having it stop under the first shelf or travel up the wall to under the third shelf. We are also installing two wall sconces above the shelves, just again, trying to decide what style of lights we want to go with.

With all of these questions swirling around in our heads, I knew we needed to reach out to Taylor of Crisp Interiors again. We decided to combine a few design dilemmas for this space and it's so nice to have an extremely talented designer give us guidance for this project, we can't wait to see what she designs!

(Side note: Our contractor will also be installing the shiplap wall in the living room that Crisp Interiors designed for us during our last design dilemma, you can read that post here!)

Wish List: A beautiful rug runner for in the kitchen, I still can't decide if it would make this space feel smaller, but I would love to add a little bit of color with an antique style rug.

We are so excited to give our kitchen a little refresh, I know so many of you are in the same boat that we are, you move into a house, have a LONG list of things you would LOVE to do, but have to save up for each project little by little. Now, while it can be super hard when you have a vision, but have to have some patience, while saving up to see that vision come to life... it really is all worth it in the end.

We have slowly made our house into what we have "dreamed" it could be, year by year, we tackle a few projects at a time and we always feel so proud that we checked another project off the list once it's complete. I love looking back at photos of our house when it was listed for sale, it's amazing to see how we have put our own touch on a home that we love so much!

I'm excited to share more updates of this space, I'll be sure to share Taylor's designs and of course, the final project! In the meantime, I'll be sharing day to day updates on Instagram, so make sure you are following along with us here: @snyderfamilyco.

Friday Favorites April 11th

Friday, April 12, 2019

Welcome back to another Friday Favorites! We have a jam-packed weekend ahead, including a girls night, Avery's first soccer game, Palm Sunday at church, birthday parties and MORE. We would also love to attend our town's Easter egg hunt and even squeeze in some tile shopping for our kitchen backsplash. And come to think of it, I would also love to organize Emmy's closet, which is a total disaster. Our weekend to-do lists are always a mile long, but as long as we get a few things checked-off, mixed with a little family fun, I'll count it as a win!

1: This Week on the Blog- I was a little quiet on the good ole' blog this week, to be honest I'm pretty sure I had some version of the flu last week and it has kicked my booty! I am finally feeling better, but only managed to get a few posts up this week.

2: Operation Break Emerson of the Pacifier- The time has come, our sweet girl is getting a visit from the "boppy" fairy this weekend and to be totally honest it's breaking my Mama heart! This is one of the hardest transitions for me, I know she loves them SO much and they bring her SO much comfort, but the longer we allow her to have them, the harder it's going to be for her to break the habit. Plus, girlfriend is THREE! I'm planning on gathering up all the pacifiers Saturday morning and replacing them with a present from the fairy, the fairy will have magically turned her "boppies" into a present and I'm just praying it goes smoothly! I know the first few days will be pretty rough, but I know our sweet girl can do it, now as far as I go... please send all the positive vibes, prayers and maybe a bottle of wine or two.

Snyder Family Co. Style: Baby Girl Swim Edt.

As a Mama to three little ladies, I have learned a thing or two about how to buy cute, yet practical clothing for our girls. When it comes to swimwear, I never thought about what a pain it would be to change a baby girl's diaper at the beach or pool, those cute little one pieces are so hard to get on and off once your little one goes for a dip. Last year, I FINALLY found the BEST swim suits for Isla, they both had a zipper closure AND onesie like snaps at the bottom of the suit, changing her diaper was easy peasy! When swimsuit shopping for your little ladies, I suggest you look for suits that have one or all the following: snap closure bottom, zipper in the front or back and two words... rash guard, it's so nice to cover up as much of that sweet little baby skin as possible!

Here are ten adorable and affordable swimsuits for baby girls, now all we need is some sunshine and a trip to the beach!

Friday Favorites April 5th

Friday, April 5, 2019

Friends, I had a HORRIBLE case of the stomach flu yesterday, oh my goodness, I'm still not feeling 100%, food poisoning is NO joke! While I had a little energy I decided to write a quick Friday Favorites post to share some of the things our family is loving this week. Take a peek below:

1: This Week on the Blog- This week on the blog was all about SPRING! I was able to share our Spring Break recap, along with some fun and festive Easter ideas, I can't wait to share more Easter inspiration next week.

Wonderful Wednesday Blog Hop- Come link-up with us next week, it's such a fun way to find new blogs and get new inspiration!

2: Top 5 Amazon Finds- I shared these FIVE Amazon finds on Instagram this week and I just had to share them on the blog too! I have seen quite a few bloggers post about a few of these items and they did NOT disappoint. If you were to "treat yourself" to ONE of these items, I highly recommend the lightweight sweatshirt tunic, it's seriously the BEST!

3: Mom Style: Jeans Edt.- I currently have three pairs of jeans in my Mom uniform rotation and I LOVE them all! I have a pair of frayed hem skinny jeans in a dark wash, perfect for date night, my favorite $25 Mom jeans from Target and these exposed button cropped jeans from JCrew, which I can finally wear now that the weather has warmed up!

Loft: Jeans 40% off- price shown in cart
JCrew: Use code Spring for 15% off

Preschool pick-up for our sweet little middle Emmy!

Shared this throwback of Emmy and Avery, those little baby faces just melt my heart!

5: Kitchen Update Plans- I am SO excited to start the shiplap wall in the living room AND we are giving our kitchen a little refresh too. We are getting rid of two existing light fixtures, that we lovingly refer to as the "boob lights," canned lighting will be taking their place and we can't wait. We are also installing a backsplash, floating shelves and a few wall scones for additional lighting, it's going to look so great when it's all complete! Here are some of my Pinterest inspiration photos, you can see more inspiration on my "Our Home- Kitchen" Pinterest board.
